Turkish Film Industry in 2012

According to Antrakt Magazine, by the end of 2012, there are 43.935.763 tickets sold in Turkey, which means a %4 increase compared to last year. 

As for Turkish films, the number of tickets sold has decreased by %3. This year 19.149.013 tickets were sold for Turkish Films which gained a %47 of market share.

With a total of 282 films released (61 of them was Turkish films), the total box office amount is 421.883.398,22 TL. (approximately 240 mio. $)

When we look at the box office performance of Turkish films;

The number of films between 500.000 - 1.000.000 admission: 5
The number of films between 100.000 - 500.000 admission: 5
The number of films below 100.000 admission: 47
